    Description

    N
    ice 18
    th
    to early 19
    th
    century wood keg or cask.
The keg stands 10 inches tall and the diameter of the ends is 7 inches.
Staves are secured by well- made interlocking bent wood hoops.
Five of the original six hoops remain and one has stable cracks.
The initials “RD” hand carved into one end.
There is overall evidence of insect damage – now long inactive.
Could have been used for gun powder but I believe this was for liquor or spirits of some sort. Great size and character for display.
U.S. sales only. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK.
